Join Now Hi Everyone First time poster so be gentle! ;-) I'm http://www.theeldergeek.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22387 having domain wide issues with clients not being able to print due to print spooler sub system errors on start up. When I try to manually start the spooler it starts for a second and then stops. if i try through a command prompt I get "System error 5 has occurred Access denied" Our print server is WS2K3, I'm in the process of building a 2012 print server to replace it. system error I have trawled the forums and tried the following: - after giving "everyone" access to the directory I delete files in the C:\Windows\System32\spool\printers & \drivers folders and tried to install network printers. - repairing the windows install Initially this issue affected everyone but Win xp users seem to have recovered. WIn7 users still have the issue. cheers Brad Reply Subscribe RELATED TOPICS: Daily Print Spooler Error Print Spooler Madness Print Spooler Problem Turning Pandemic   15 Replies Chipotle OP AkDonKeys Mar 4, 2014 at 1:15 system error 5 UTC Did you load the win 7 drivers to the print server for each printer? Error 5 Access Denied Started by Kevin D , Dec 31 2006 05:16 PM Please log in to reply 3 replies to this topic #1 Kevin D Kevin D Junior TEG Forum Member Members 2 posts Posted 31 December 2006 - 05:16 PM Hi, Got new printer and Camera dock/photo printer for Xmas... hooked them both up, some install difficulty, but not much... Got both working. A few days later both crashed. My install printer screen is now blank.. no add printer, no fax icon. Went to print spooler and cannot restart.. get the error message in title. The RPC is started. I noticed an "RPC helper" service listed with a service name of some crazy symbols and signs.. killed this in the registry and that service is now gone. Still can't get the spooler to go. Any help would be appreciated. Here is the hijack this logged.
