Dameware Access Denied Windows 7
All IssueWhen you use NTU to connect to any Windows computer with User Account Control (UAC) enabled, Windows denies dameware the token supplied to the function is invalid you access to administrative functions such as viewing or editing disk drives, services, or the registry. This issue is directly related to UAC, and cannot be resolved in the NTU http://forums.dameware.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=408 program. WorkaroundTo gain remote access to administrative features on computers with UAC enabled, complete the following procedure. Connect to the remote computer using Remote Control> RDP View in NTU, or Windows Remote Desktop. On the remote computer, open Registry Editor (regedit.exe). Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> SOFTWARE> Microsoft> Windows> CurrentVersion> policies, and then select http://support.dameware.com/kb/article.aspx?ID=400103 system. Add the DWORD Value, LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy: Click Edit > New > DWORD Value, and then enter LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy. Assign the DWORD a value of 1: Select the new value, and then click Edit > Modify. Select Decimal. Enter 1. Click OK. Close Registry Editor. Disconnect from the RDP View or Remote Desktop session. The next time you connect to the remote computer with an administrative account using NTU, you will be able to access the administrative functions on the remote computer.

Solved unable to remote using Dameware mini remote control Posted on 2008-03-28 Software-Other Windows XP 1 Verified Solution 11 Comments 3,624 Views Last Modified: 2011-10-19 we use Dameware mini remote controle to remote to end user's PCs (XP machines). there are few machines that when I try to remote to them using the option "Use MRC's mirror driver if available" I get the error : "Access Denied [filter] please contact the administrator of the remote computer for information" I went to the remote PC and saw the event log 109 that also says the same thing in the description: "Access Denied [filter] please contact the administrator of the remote computer for information" I am using a domain admin account and able to ping the remote PCs by IP and by name and am able to remote if I select the option "Use remote deskto (RDP)". Have you configured the firewalls on these clients to allow port 6129? Tried disabling the firewall and seeing if it connects?
