driver could not be loaded due to system error code 193." Cause The driver is a 32-bit driver and the default Microsoft ODBC Administrator utility is for 64-bit drivers. Resolving the problem On 64-bit Windows, there are two versions of the specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 127 Microsoft ODBC Administrator tool. Typically, you go to Start --> Administrative Tools --> Data Sources (ODBC) to create ODBC connections. This calls the program %WINDIR%\System32\odbcad32.exe to create a 64-bit ODBC connection. However, this program will not create 32-bit ODBC connections. The ODBC gateway requires a 32-bit ODBC connection. Use the 32-bit version of the Microsoft ODBC Administrator tool located in %systemdrive%\Windows\SysWoW64\odbcad32.exe to create the ODBC Data Source. See this page for the feature pack. Locate the SQL Server 2008 Native Client section and download the msi for your platform.Install the msi and the message should no longer appear. You can verify the proper ODBC driver is installed by locating the SQL Server Native Client 10.0 in the Drivers tab of the ODBC Data Sources control panel. Please follow up if you have further problems.JayJay Kint MSFT Friday, September 18, 2009 5:33 PM Reply | Quote Moderator 0 Sign in to vote As mentioned in my configuration I've installed Microsoft SQL Server 2008's SQL Server Native ClientWhen I look in the Drivers tab of my ODBC Data Sources I find:SQL Server Native Client 10.0 Version

Remember that on the internet, capitalization is considered shouting, so please try not to overuse it when asking your question. Also, I added the [Sybase-ase] tag, and [odbc] tags, since they seemed relevant to your question, and proper tagging will get your question in front of the right people faster. You also may need to add additional information about how you registered the ODBC source, configuration parameters and your connection parameters. –Michael Gardner Jun 26 '14 at 13:29 infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/… –Michael Gardner Jun 26 '14 at 13:30 infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/… –Michael Gardner Jun 26 '14 at 13:31 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote In my experience this error indicates that some dependencies could not be loaded.
