I've been having a lot of problems with my system crashing lately and have been searching like crazy trying to find a reason. I'm not the most technically sound person but through my reading I have managed to: -Check all of my memory physically and with memtest, http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/system-error-event-category-102-event-id-1003.44396/ as outlined in the sticky post. -Update my drivers to the best of my knowledge and ability. -Disabled my onboard soundcard and the other stuff that the sticky post said to do. From another thread I learned how to run event viewer and that's where I found out that this error the one I'm actually having. Before seeing the event viewer all I knew about my problem was what the blue screen said: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears... (standard blue screen stuff) Technical information: *** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x0000000E, 0x00000002, 0x000000000, 0x00000000E) The Stop numbers seem to change sometimes, another recent one I saw that I wrote down was: 0x000000D1 (0x00000012, 0x00000002, 0x000000000, 0x000000012) My Event Viewer event properties for one of the last crashes was: Event Type: Error Event Source: System Error Event Category: (102) Event ID: 1003 Date: 2/17/2006 Time: 10:59:02 PM Description: Error code 000000d1, parameter1 000000
