Check the backup application log for detailed messages." in SQL Server 2005? SQL Server > SQL Server High Availability and Disaster Recovery Question 0 Sign in to vote Used osql.exe to backup log and failed with the error: BACKUP failed to complete the command BACKUP LOG xxx. Check the backup application log for detailed messages. osql.exe did not create the output file even though the -o parameter is used. The database has been backed up before using full database and log backup. Full database backup which ran concurrently with the log backup ran successfully. There is no additional info in Windows Application log and SQL Server log. Since there is no output file created, how can I troubleshoot this?
