The error https://adsm.org/lists/html/Networker/2004-10/msg00255.html message is more informative than just a "RPC error: Remote system error" (which is all I'm getting). The authtype error comes first and is quite informative. It is telling you http://ww.advancedpcadvisor.com/fix-exefiles/nsrexec.exe-error-diagnosis_902026.html that, upon backup, Networker did a reverse and/or forward lookup of some name or IP address of the client/or server and did not like it..ie. some name or IP is system error not resolving. Networker 7.x is very strict/annoying about this sort of thing. Get a list of all the IP addresses of the client and server and do a reverse and forward lookup of the IPs and addresses. If there are other names the client is known by make sure the names are in the alias list of the client. The name/IP remote system error address could also be one of the server's as seen by the client. Robert Maiello Pioneer Data Systems On Tue, 19 Oct 2004 09:41:02 +0200, Oscar Olsson
