System Error 1114 Oracle Odbc Driver
Posted 10 January 2006 - 10:41 PM Hello, I am getting Oracle connect errors using the
Sqlstate Im003
following drivers: Oracle InstantClient: Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 1114 (Oracle in instantclient10_2). Microsoft ODBC for Oracle: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21216815 SQLAllocHandle on SQL_HANDLE_ENV failed I get the same error whether I use a DSN or connect straight with the driver. I have run through the other hints verifying that I granted "authenticated users" read and write access to the the OracleInstantClient home. I even made my anon IIS user an admin. No http://www.asprunner.com/forums/topic/2297-oracle-odbc-errors/ luck. By the way, I can connect via ODBC from various SQL tools without issue and can of course see the tables when building the ASP pages via the tool. Here are the two different connect strings: <% strConnection = "DRIVER={Oracle in instantclient10_2};SERVER=CAOSODST;UID=login;PWD=password;DBQ=CAOSODST;DBA=W;APA =T;EXC=F;XSM=Default;FEN=T;QTO=T;FRC=10;FDL=10;LOB=T;RST=T;BTD=F;BAM=IfAllSuccess ful;NUM=NLS;DPM=F;MTS=T;MDI=Me;CSR=F;FWC=F;FBS=60000;TLO=O;" %> <% strConnection = "DRIVER={Microsoft ODBC for Oracle};UID=login;PWD=password;SERVER=CAOSODST;" %> Thanks! While ODBC driver was setup successfully, Net Configurn. Asstt. failed with some class not found error. I http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/20729/ copied a tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora file into oracle_home/Network/admin folder Next While creating a system DSN and http://businessintelligence.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/brio-l/odbc-driver-cant-be-loaded-sqlstate-im003-system-error-127-help-please-695625 then testing the connection it displays the following message Unable to connect SQLstate=IM003 Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 127 ( ORACLE in Ora9i ) Thanks in advance Report message to a moderator Re: ODBC Driver connectivity error [message #57863 is a reply to message #57860] Fri, 11 July 2003 10:37 Navtej Messages: 19Registered: July system error 2003 Junior Member Setup the PATH to first search the ORACLE_HOMEbin related to the Oracle ODBC Driver set PATH=%ORACLE_HOME%bin:%PATH% Report message to a moderator Re: ODBC Driver connectivity error [message #392576 is a reply to message #57863] Wed, 18 March 2009 08:36 albrideau Messages: 1Registered: March 2009 Location: Fredericton, New Brunswic... Junior Member I had a situation just now that requires 2 different versions of Oracle to run 2 different applications. I received the could not be "Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 127" error message when trying to run the app that requires oracle 10g. From reading this post, I was lead to the path statement for the computer that is found when right mouse button clicking on the my computer icon, going to "Properties" then the advanced tab and clicking on the "environment variables" button in Windows XP. I discovered that the oracle 8i path variable was before the oracle 10g path variable in the path statement. I switched them around and put the 10g first and resolved my problem. Thanks for the help! I have changed the PATH variables like described above, but it doesn´t work either. We have installed two driver versions: Version 9.2.0.8 and Version 10.2.0.3 Both Path variables are set. But the problem still exists. Has anybody the same problem or an idea what it is? That would help me a lot.
