on 2 diff machines (dell and Lenovo) and i keep getting System Error 67 network name not found system error 67 has occurred windows server 2012 - Here is the funny part: I can ping my AD controller and the fileserver by IP and Name, I tried running net use via IP as well system error 67 net use windows 7 (net use:Z:\\IP Address) still no go. I restarted the DFS services and the WDS service and didnt do anything. Besides rebooting both servers, any ideas? As a safeguard, I wanted to backup the system to a NAS on the Windows 2008 domain. I could ping the other server but not connect to the drive share. I got System Error 67 when I tried to connect to the share. I followed some suggestions from another forum which included disabling TCP offload, removing the TCP offload settings from registry and https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/275922-win-pe-and-system-error-67 updating the driver for the NIC. The two TCP offload changes did not make any difference but the driver update to the NIC resolved my problem. It may be that you need to update the NIC driver. 0 Serrano OP Chris81_SysAdmin Nov 20, 2012 at 2:28 UTC Yeh i read up on the error and i've seen the 3 solutions that you implimented but I don't think it is that - As I said I tried 2 different machines with different hardware and I am unable to connect to any share whether it be from the fileserver or AD server so I am still trying to figure out what is going on if 2 different machines get error 67 when trying to connect to shares on 2 different servers 0 Serrano OP Best Answer Chris81_SysAdmin Nov 20, 2012 at 3:31 UTC Win PE error resovled was a weird DNS issue that was also causing issues on exchange once that was fixed worked fine - thanks for the reply ttsdunlap 0 This discussion has been inactive for over a year. Quantensprung Beginner Posts 6 1 [SOLVED] Cannot connect to SMB shares [OMV 0.5] Nov 17th 2013, 4:50pm Hello there, Hardware: HP ProLiant N54L OMV Version: 0.5.21 Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 I've problem to connect to my SMB shares ... after creating a shared folder and share it through SMB/CIFS I can see the share on the Windows (win7, win8 and android) network overview, but when trying to access the folder I always get the error message: Source Code error code: 0x80070035 network path cannot be found or (if trying via DOS and "net use") Source Code net use x:\ \\HPSERVER\share1 /USER:user1 #or net use x:\ \\HPSERVER\IPC$\share1 /USER:user1 System error 67 has occured. The network name cannot be found. Any idea? I've redo the OMV installation and only do the config for SMB and user (to be sure that there is no sideeffect from plugins)- still the same error...
