The Remote Server Returned An Error (502) Bad Gateway. C#
up Nuget: The remote server returned an error: (504) Gateway Timeout up vote 21 down vote favorite I'm using Visual Studio 2015 preview CTP 5 and I'm having problems installing some packages. If I use the NPM UI I get The remote server returned an error: (504) Gateway Timeout. If I use the PM Console with Install-Package Ninject.MVC5 I get : The source

at nuget.org [https://www.nuget.org/api/v2/] is unreachable. Falling back to NuGet Local Cache at {userfolder}\AppData\Local\NuGet\Cache Install-Package : Unable to find package 'Ninject.MVC5'. If I type: Install-Package Ninject.MVC5 -source nuget.org i get the same UI error : Install-Package : The remote server returned an error: (504) Gateway Timeout. I tryied this from other sources that points to solution but none worked. I see a similar problem on nuget but a code 'fix' was release according to the github repo on January, 15. I'm not sure if this is on my end or a nuget server problem, tryied to reach them at twitter with no response still, don't know what else to try. visual-studio-2013 nuget visual-studio-2015 share|improve this question edited Feb 3 '15 at 21:00 jussi.mattila 157111 asked Feb 2 '15 at 22:50 Bart Calixto 8,17244184 2 Having the same problem over here on 2 different computers, both running vs2103. since yesterday. –eatfrog Feb 3 '15 at 8:55 1 Same problem with visual studio 2013 here. Which version of NuGet are you using? –John Rasch Jul 19 '12 at 15:33 Are you behind a proxy ? –Alexandre Dion Jul 19 '12 at 17:00 Its version 2.0.30619.9119. I do not believe I am behind a proxy, I can access nuget.org on my browser no problem. –TheWommies Jul 20 '12 at 3:31 9 I realised I had set the HTTP_PROXY environment variable (so that I could use HTTPie with Fiddler as it happened) - I didn't realise that Nuget made use of this and, since I didn't have Fiddler running at the time, it failed to connect –Kram Sep 13 '12 at 10:07 1 It might be that there is a package source configured in too

Any servers that don't match an entry in the list will be forwarded to a proxy server instead as they will have visibility of the Internet. System.NET also uses this setting but where IE matched only the server name, .NET matches the whole URL before the third / which means that where a non standard port is specified (which is the case with virtually all web services) the match doesn't happen and the client goes to the proxy ser
