I made a animation in Maya and rendered like 200/500 targe images. I want https://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/312909.html to import them into AE and I get the error. File / Import / File. Then I choose Targe and import as Footage. I'm lost, and I'm sure its a common error and I hope people know the answer on cgtalk ;) Mylenium03-12-2009, 06:00 PMGood question... Never used Targas in Maya way back then. Always rendered to 16 bit SGI. Could you provide a frame for analysis? Barring that - mangle it through fcheck and convert it to http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/index.php?t-740733.html a different format. Mylenium Qual03-12-2009, 07:33 PMMylenium thank you for the reply! Fcheck is a software I just googled it, but is it easy to covert 500 images at once? or I need to do it 1 by 1? And will I lose quality of the image? I still hope for a fix of this problem...hope someone can help me out by just doing something in AE. Mylenium03-13-2009, 06:22 AMYou simply open the files as a sequence in fcheck, then save it to a different format. Check your Maya docs for specific usage instructions. Mylenium meyers3d03-27-2009, 03:25 PMI sometimes get that error if I have a bad frame, make sure all your rendered images are complete and in the correct order with the correct naming convention for all of them.
