When I start AE (last version CS4 9.0.2), it shows 8 times a pop-up "After Effects(erreur) : CT generic : bad lenDesignVector (83§2)". I suppose it's linked with the number of processors - 8 (it's a HP xw8600 workstation - Windows XP 32bits).Is there a way to avoid these warnings ? Thank you in

I would suspect that you need a special motherboard/ system driver. Seems like a special cahce or SSE function is not being initialized properly. Also make sure to have al lthe leatest Windows updates, including possibly things such as .NET runtimes or the latest MSVC runtimes. Tahat aside - Win XP 32 bit is less than ideal for running a dual processor workstation, so I'd seriously consider upgrading to Vista 64 bit. Seems a waste to run a potentially more powerful workstation with an outdated operating system. Surely you are not dependent on some tools from the stone age so that you must have XP, are you? What's the exact specs of your machine, anyway?Mylenium Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: Error : "CT generic : bad lendesignVector" ChrisProsser Jul

I believe it's font related. After Effects error: T1P:ATM Parse Error ( 83 :: 2 ) I'm not creating any new files with fonts, just opening old projects that I've never had a problem with before. I tried restarting the machine, which seemed to help, but then the error comes back. When I restart just After Effects that helps sometimes but the error eventually comes back again. The only thing I can after effects think of is when I duplicated some font folders, it started happening. I'm using AE CS4. Font managing with FontExplorer X Pro. I've looked there and it didn't seem to relate to my error in that I've been opening projects that are older and unrelated to each other. And this is after restarting my machine. Thanks again!Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: After Effects error: T1P:ATM Parse Error ( 83 :: 2 )by Melissa Smith on May 5, 2011 at 6:33:23 pmI got a response from Mylenium in case anyone is interested: --------- Indeed... Type 1 PostScript : Adobe Type Manager Parse Error, if I'm interpreting correctly. The common approach with font issues is to remove all non-system fonts and, as in your case, to disable or remove third-party font managers, then add everything back on a selective basis. It may also help to completely flush the font manager's backup/ storage folders where it keeps the sorted font groups for instant activation. ======= I'll get back to you when I try it out. Thanks everyone! I hope this helps someone in the future. :) Cheers.Return to posts indexReport Post<< PREVIOUS • VIEW ALL • PRINT
