You're only using a 32 bit OS, meaning you can't use more than 3 gigs of RAM. I have 16 and I still want more sometimes. There are several potential issues you may be experiencing. Errors like this get asked about often, so try this search it's all customized and stuff! What size is your composition, and what is in it? 3d? Shadows? Large layers? What can I do about these crashes? FAQ about rendering in AE. Trouble rendering. Advice. There is a lot you can do to stop After Effects from crashing. After Effects uses a lot of RAM to render. If you use AE you may want to consider buying out of memory more RAM. It is the most cost effective upgrade you can do to rule out rendering issues. A gamer's GPU (graphics card) is also worth considering. If you want to make the investment, a Quadro GPU makes AE work very well. Go to edit, Memory and Multiprocessing, enable multiprocessing. Go to Edit, Media and Disc, enable disc catching. Render as TIFF sequences. This will greatly reduce the chance that renders will crash and if it does crash you can always start a new render where the last one left off and you won't loose your work.Rule out crashes during render.
