HAs anyone ever gotten stuck in a "particle overflow error" loop when trying to render with trapcode particlular in AE? Found nothing from trapcode that talks of this. I have my c4d exported camera/aec file, rendered footage, and http://www.videocopilot.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=50596 TC particular layer. The same file rendered just fine before. Even tried to recreate the particular settings from scratch. At a point in the render it repeatedly gets stuck and I get this error message. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. JoelDubin01-08-2007, 05:13 PMOk--figured out-- If anyone comes upon this issue--it has to do with the built in motion blur settings. The high particle count + high camera http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/index.php?t-448838.html speed may have been too much for it to handle. Or are you simply using linear motionblur (it stil lhas a bug though in 1.5 it got better)? Mylenium JoelDubin01-08-2007, 07:50 PMWhat insane settings are you using? ;O) Probably "pretty" insane. Im prerunning a few thousand particles. Never had that problem, even with the max. 200000 parrticles. Or are you simply using linear motionblur (it stil lhas a bug though in 1.5 it got better)? Mylenium I just had linear moblur turned on--I would repeatedly get the error a few frames into rendering. Turning off moblur did the trick. I may not have grabbed the newest update--that may have been the issue Thanks mylenium CGTalk Moderation01-08-2007, 07:50 PMThis thread has been automatically closed as it remained inactive for 12 months. versions so do take note. I have tested it with After Effects CS5 and paticular 2.1.0 and yes the bug exsists. And the workaround i have found out it to remove the motion blur options in the plugin and on the layer. This way you will avoid the partical overflow error. But this will present you with no motion blur for the particals, so use the CC force motion blur plugin,,, but do remember its a 8bit one,, so in 16bit or 32bit,, you dont get it to work correctly. Hope that helps you get around this annoying error.
