each layer in order to see which layer carried the glitch. I noted that when I deleted the video footage after effects zero denominator comparing ratios layer that was imported from FCP as a QT movie, the error message disappeared. Obviously a glitch somehow has developed in the footage settings I assume. I right clicked on the footage, went after effects error zero denominator converting ration denominators to Interpret Footage > Main & noted the frame rate is at 0.01. The frame rate I have have used in all my Compositions has been 29.97. I changed it to 29.97, but it does not change it and the error message continues to appear. Afx linked to a non self contained reference file from FCP. In the meanwhile I had consolidated the FCP project (media manager) and deleted the old footage from the disk. The problem was that the reference file linked to footage that didn't exist anymore. I exported a new reference file from the consolidated FCP project and replaced the old reference file. Then I reopened Afx, problem solved. So for short: I replaced a reference file that linked to non-existing footage. I hope this is any help to your problem. Upon moving the clip into my already open after effects project, the wrong still frame opened up in the https://forums.adobe.com/thread/986053 comp viewer, followed by this error: After Effects Error: overflow converting ratio denominators.(17 :;18). Clicking OK does nothing, and even after closing after effects and restarting the computer, upon opening my project, I simply get this error which will not go away, and as long as it is open, I can do nothing else with after effects. I cannot just create a new project as several other comps are contained within this specific project, and because of this error I now have no access to them. What can I do to correct this? (17 :: 17) It's really beginning to annoy me now as I have had this error a couple of times in the past. If anyone could shed some light onto why this is happening I would be hugely appreciative. Thanks Chris after effects error M erilaz08-11-2009, 09:48 AMDo you have a non-standard film aspect ratio or resolution? From Mylenium's excellent error database: http://aeerrors.myleniumstuff.de/?p=138 Although this is error 17::16, the problem seems very similar. rawshark08-11-2009, 02:32 PMCould also be a non-standard/not exact frame-rate. Try changing the frame rate in 'interpret footage' CGTalk Moderation08-11-2009, 02:32 PMThis thread has been automatically closed as it remained inactive for 12 months.
