All was fine untill the Daylight Savings event which happened in March 09 Since then we https://vox.veritas.com/t5/Backup-Exec/Backup-exec-12-Missed-Backup-up-error-e000e020/td-p/232429 have had missed backups at weekends. We have 2 scheduled tasks to run in Backup Exec The first is a daily backup which runs Monday > Thursday - These backups areok and show in the History as being complete the odd errors with people leaving there email logged in etc, but mainly ok The second is a Weekend backup which runs on a Saturaday when all the staff are out of the building. One of our sites has not had a weekend backup since the Time change. The backup is set to run between 18:00 > 07:00 and is set to cancell if not complete within 10 Hours. However the History of the job which was set to run on Saturday 25th April shows the following Original Start Time 25th April 2009 19:00:00 Job Started 25th April 2009 18:00:00 The error that apears for the fail is Error E00E020 - the job was scheduled to run, but the availability window closed before the job could end. After reading some forums and posts, we restarted all the servers running backup exec after the Daylight Savings as we were aware there was a glitch in the service time VS the system time. Solved error e000e020 since daylight savings time change Posted on 2010-11-15 Storage Software Windows Server 2003 Storage 1 Verified Solution 6 Comments 4,342 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-10 Hello, I found our backups did not run after daylight savings time with the following error backup exec in the logs: e000e020 - The job was scheduled to run, but the availability window closed before the job could start. There may not have been any destination devices available during the window, or the job may have been submitted to run when the window was closed. Even after I change the time window to be back an hour and set the start no later than time to allow 2 hours in the time window, e000e020 backup exec I still get failures on the test run. The log on the test run failure is very vague: e0008703 - The test run has detected a potential problem. See the job log for details. For additional information regarding this error refer to link V-79-57344-34563 I have looked at the link but it doesn't give any information that I can use. Does anyone have any insight as to why this may still be failing even after the time window is changed? The time on the server is correct and the backup device is accessible and has the correct time. I have also cross posted this ad symantec, and found a couple of threads on this issue here however the link on how to use the no longer works and I am unfamiliar with bestop.bat. I appreciate any help with this issue and thanks very much, Maureen 0 Question by:maureen99 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 3 Best Solution byeagle-22 I would not try repairing the database at this point.
