(14 votes) 1 backup exec 34113 job failed 2 3 4 5 not important very important Description The reason for the backup backupexec 34113 job to fail is that the 'Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers' service running on the Backup Exec Media server terminates event id 34113 backup exec 15 or is stopped during the backup of the remote system. To verify if this service is stopped go to Start | Run | Services.msc - Start the Service. Make sure that it is running under the Local event id 34113 backup exec 2010 r3 System account. - If the issue is unresolved, please go to Tools, Options, Network Tab, select the "Use any available Network adapter" and start backup. Recycle all backup exec services and try to perform backup operation.
The reason for the backup job to fail is that the 'Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers' service running on the Backup Exec Media server terminates or is stopped during the backup of the remote system.

verify if this service is stopped go to Start | Run | Services.msc
- Start the Service. Make sure that it is running under the Local System account.

More backup exec details are as follows Backup Server: Win Server 2008 R2 64bit What we are backing up: Exchange Databases Exchange Server 2010 Exchange Windows: Win Server 2008 64 bit (Not R2) DAG: Yes (but recently installed backup jobs were failing before that as well when we were running single mailbox server) Did backup job ever ran: Yes they were event id 34113 running fine for almost 11 months. I have seen one forum which says to install a HotFix 139875_ENU_ia64_zip but it seems its only for win server 2003. Any help will be highly appreciated. I anyone need any more information do let me know. The backup exec error code is E000FED1. It appears in the eventlog of the server with the ID 34113. This can happen if one of the writers fails while performing backup of the shadow copies. There is a KB article from Symantec for this specific error. It can be found here. You could check the points mentioned in the post or just reboot your server to solve the issue.
