I am tring to install Backup Exec V11d onto the server as a fresh install. Are you able to create another database on your SQL Server? If not, I would look into possibly deploying the two solutions on different machines. There are ways to Go to Solution 3 Comments LVL 8 Overall: Level 8 MS Server OS 4 Storage Software 3 Message Expert Comment by:b0fh2007-07-05 I haven't upgraded to 11d yet, but I can tell you that, by default, Backup Exec installs an instance of SQL Express and that it is not compatible w/ a full version of SQL Server. Did you happen to see an option to use an existing SQL Server installation? If so, go back and choose that option. Please note that you may have to create a new SQL database prior to the installation. I would probably name it BKUPEXEC, as that is whta the defual appears to be. 0 Message Author Comment by:peterellis2007-07-05 When I go to install it 1st asks me for an account to install Backup Exec, the account does have admin rights as I have checked. Then it asks me this: (The two options that follow) 1. - Create a local Backup Exec SQL Express instance to store the databse on. This instance will be installed on C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$BKUPEXEC. (says destination folder is C:\program files\Microsoft SQ
