that has never run successfully: V-79-57344-65072. I have an agent running on one server running WS 2008 r2, and the BE server is running Windows 2012. The storage unit is a NAS. The BE server is also a file server and it runs like clockwork to the same NAS with no failures. However, the agent running on another server (it's a fax server) has never successfully backed up even a single bit of data; it errors out each time. I've ensured that the agent has local admin access to both the BE server and the local server where it's running, and the NAS allows the same user read/write access (it's actually open to anyone). The server running the BE agent can open and write to the NAS's file share. It can telnet on port 10000 to the BE server and vice-versa. What else can I cover? I tried disabling IPv6 but it still fails each time. Solved! Go to Solution. I have a Windows 2008 R2 server (64 bit) https://vox.veritas.com/t5/Backup-Exec/Weekly-Backup-of-Server-keeps-failing-with-error-E000FE30/td-p/489498 and it has a remote backup exec agent installed on it (the main backup exec program resides on another server). The 2008 server is set to do daily backups, weekly backups and monthly backups. The daily backups are differential, and both the weekly and monthly backups are full backups. The 2008 server has been in place for a few months now, the first couple months the server had some files but not alot (approx 100 GB of files and data), all the backups worked fine then, but around the end of December I moved all of our files from an older server to this new 2008 server, now there is about 2.5TB of files and data on this server. The problem is ever since I moved all of the file to this server the weekly backups have been failing with error code E000FE30 "A communications failure has occurred.". The daily backups and the monthly backups have worked without any problems. I would have though this might have somethinbg to do with the full backup, but the monthly and weekly backups are backing up the exact same files. I have no idea why this is happening to the weekly backups, especially when the monthly backups are fine. Please help. Thank

What I noticed so far is that error message is always coming on some specific files. If on the backup I exclude those files it will just go through no problem but if I put them back it does the same issue. With that fact I really don't think it is a network issue or any kind of issue like this. The files can be .PDF .CAB it doesn't matter its just when the backup is at this file it stops and give this error. I have Backup Exec 2010 R3 on a Windows Storage Server 2007 64 bits Service Pack 2 The server i'm trying to backup Data is a Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition 32 bits Service Pack 2 with the Backup exec remote agent version 13.0 Rev
