Update: Ok, I'm confused. I went in to configure another backup, and when I came back, it is running. I'm assuming the Loading Media status take a very long time? I have two mail box database X & Y. X has configured with 120 mailbox and Y has only 3 mailboxes. I successful create backup with Y database alone for testing purpose and successfully backed up and restored individual mailboxes. Are you getting any errors on your tape drive? What make/model tape drive are you using? My first guess here would be there is a physical error on the tape drive. Also, if it is a new install, is the media cataloged?
