We have a single BE 12 server. We been receiving the following errors from all Windows, Linux and Mac servers. And also errors relating to "value out of range" When I try to restore the Backup Set Number that ends with a negative value (ie, -30577) and catalog File Name ending in a negative value (ie, ....._-30577.xml) are the ones that doesn't show the restore list after the backup job is successful. We trying everything from repair DB, renaming Catalog folders, etc... still no luck! Please help! As we are not able to do any kind of backups at this point we can not afford to start over and lose months of backups. Backup Exec Alert: Catalog Error ODBC access error. I went on leave and have come back and found ive got odbc access error catalog error's occuring every couple of mins when backing up or trying to restore. we run a single backupexec server for this domain which is HP DL360 g6 / twin quad core xeons / 32gb ram / 2 x raid 1 500GB (c) / 2 x raid 1 1TB (D) / P230 sas pci-e card, OS windows 2008 R2. Backupexec 2012 v14 rev 1798 64bit we have a G2 1/8 HP storageworks autoloader with 8 slots & the tape drive which is LTO 4. we have about 60TB of physical storage across several servers of which we back up to 6TB on a weekly basis (which is another problem for another day) I attempted to do a restore and even that is failing? Our weekly backups are also failing as they are taking an age to backup but i think that maybe just the ammount of data we are trying to backup over the weekend window. backups kick off at 11pm and run through to monday evening. Does anyone have any ideas on what maybe causing it?! what i can do to try and fix it?
