We are in disaster recovery, having done a full restore from disk using Backup Exec 2010 installed to a temporary folder. Problem is that when I did the full restore, original installation of Backup Exec 2010 no longer worked. I uninstalled it, and tried to reinstall but now I consistently get error Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'policy.8.0.Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP, type="win32-policy", version="8.0.50727.4053", PublicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitecture="x86"'. Please refer to Help and Support for more information. This is Windows 2008 Server 32 bit. I really need to restore SQL databases since I had not done that yet. I have attached the installation log file for anyone who can help. I am trying to upgrade Symantec BE Remote Agent to 2010 R3 version and get Fatal Error 1935 when I run installation. Everything points to Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable package. No matter how I try, I cannot install those agents. Any ideas? I have two servers in the cluster, both doing same thing and I get same error on both. The only difference, one of them still has older 12.5 version of Remote Agent and another doesn't. I have 2 Visual C++ 2005 packages listed in the Programs & Features on the server. No 2008 version. I have performed actions based on this document from Symantec, but it did not help either: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH125274 I am attaching log file and screenshot with the error.
