I believe this service fails as it is dependent upon the Remote Agent for Windows service. I thought the remote agent agent only needs to be installed on remote machines that require backing up, not sure this service needs to be installed on this machine?. After fixing this hardware issue, backups would no longer run (all ip addresses of remote machines changed) and I am no longer able to browse remote resources. In an attempt to get the backups running again I have restarted the server. I was told this machine did not require Remote Agent and I removed it. Attempting to restart the Remote Agent service on results in "The system cannot find the file specified."
