Today I would like to discuss the following issue which you may face while starting Microsoft Dynamics AX service. When you trying to start it normally you got the following message in Windows event viewer "The Dynamics AX Object Server 5.0$03-(Instance Name)service terminated with service-specific error 100 (0×64)." Normally you have to check user permissions who run the service on the Database Server on the Instance Database, and Application Folder, and you found everything is normal. In that case you have to restart the Active Directory (Domain) server since there are some authentication/permission issue between servers (this may happen because the application server is restarted before the AD server). There should be an entry which would explain reason behind this error. Usually these messages are self explanatory. But for some reason if it isn't, please feel free to post the error message here. changing the Log on, the following error appeared:Windows could not start the Dynamics AX Object Server 5.0$01-[Application] on [Server]. For more information, review the System Event Log. If this https://ekprogramming.blogspot.com/2010/01/dynamics-ax-object-server-50-service.html is a non-Microsoft service, contact the service vendor, and refer to service-specific error code 80.System Event Log:The Dynamics AX Object Server 5.0$01-[Application] service terminated with service-specific error 80 (0x50).This occurred regardless of any database permissions. The workaround was to apply the following permissions to the following folders: * %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Dynamics AX\50\Application\Appl\[Application] o Modify, Read & execute o List folder contents o Read o cannot create Write * %ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Dynamics AX\50\Server\[Application]\Log o Read o WriteIf you still receive login error (code 100) after applying this fix, make sure you have created login and user account for your user on the MSSQL server.
