fact that the folder is "full". When you open an attachment directly cannot open attachments in outlook 2010 from within Outlook it will first save a copy to a subfolder of the Temporary Internet Files folder.Cleaning cannot create file outlook 2013 pdf out the folder will solve the issue.Outlook Secure Temp folderUnfortunately this is easier said than done. The subfolder name Outlook creates (on installation of Outlook) in the Temporary Internet Files http://www.technipages.com/outlook-cant-create-file-error-when-opening-attachment folder is quite random. In Outlook 2003 and previous, the name starts with OLK and is followed by up to 4 random numbers or letters. In Outlook 2007 and later, this folder is called Content. Outlook and then has a subfolder which is named with with 8 random numbers and letters. In addition, by default, you cannot simply browse to the folder to https://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/securetemp.htm clean it out. Getting to the Temporary Outlook Folder can still be accomplished in 2 easy steps though.Step 1: Locate the folderThe folder location is stored in the registry in the following key;Outlook 97HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Outlook\SecurityOutlook 98HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.5\Outlook\SecurityOutlook 2000HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Outlook\SecurityOutlook 2002/XPHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\SecurityOutlook 2003HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\SecurityOutlook 2007HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\SecurityOutlook 2010HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\SecurityOutlook 2013HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\SecurityOutlook 2016HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\SecurityStep 2: Get to the folderOpen the OutlookSecureTempFolder registry key from the location provided in Step 1.Copy the path from the key.Open Explorer.Paste the address in the Address Bar and press Enter.Paste the found path in the address bar of File Explorer to easily get to the folder.Use OutlookTools or OutlookTempCleanerStill not easy enough or just don't want to go in the Registry to find the folder location? I’ve created two free tools which can do the trick as well.OutlookTools offers besides locating, opening and cleaning up the SecureTempFolder also quite a lot of additional features to troubleshoot and tweak Outlook.OutlookTempCleaner focuses only on dealing with the SecureTempFolder and can also be used in (corporate) login and logoff scripts to clean up the folder without any end-user interaction. OutlookTempCleaner can detect and empty Outlook's Secure Temp folder automatically

Each time I tried to open the attachment from https://www.protectedtrust.com/knowledgebase/receive-error-cant-create-file-right-click-folder-want-create-file-click-properties-shortcut-menu-check-permissions/ the email, I would get the error message: "Can't create file: groovypost.doc. Right-click the folder you want to create the file in, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu cannot create to check your permissions for the folder." Here's a screenshot of the error message: Fortunately, the fix is easy! But first, a little background information on the problem. Scenario: The user opens email attachments with the same name multiple times over a period of time as a result of a particular job function and/or workflow. (i.e. The user receives or accesses cannot create file a public folder with email notifications that contain the same attachment name; to view, they must repeatedly open them individually through Outlook.) Every time an email attachment is opened in Outlook, then a cached copy of the attachment is created within an Outlook temporary OLK folder. This folder is generated with a random name and therefore is different for every user. To see this folder, view the registry key from the user’s profile based on their Outlook version. I wrote a post earlier on how to Find the Microsoft Outlook Temporary OLK Folder. Take a look there for a MAP which details the location of the OLK folder for all versions of Outlook. Solution: Browse to the Outlook Temp OLK folder (also known as the OutlookSecureTempFolder) and delete all files matching the “
