I've unblocked the port ssh connection closed by remote host linux 21 in the firewall and set it to allow anonymous access in order to test it out. If i try to access it from the same machine i get Connection closed by remote host. Any ideas as to why. Everywhere i've looked so far says it is a firewall issue. If so what is it i'm meant to do? I'm running Windows server 2008. Thanks Si Reply smay84 5

Have setup Isolated users and have managed to login. However now it just hangs without displaying a list of files. I have Sysinternals Process Monitor running and that hasn['t found any errors. The ftp error is 550: Data channel timed out How can i find whats wrong with this? I've tried completely disabling the remote Firewall and I can ping the FTP Server successfully, but I still can't FTP to it. If I use the command prompt I get: ftp> open 10.0.2.1 Connected to 10.0.2.1. Connection closed by remote host. I thought it was probably the Firewall... but obviously it's not. What else could be blocking it? It's a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine running IIS7 (natch). On the machine itself I can navigate to ftp://localhost and see the files, I just can't do it when I'm "local" to it via VPN. Thanks for any help, I'm sure it's something really simple...! vpn ftp lan remote iis share|improve this question asked Nov 26 '09 at 16:51 Django Reinhardt 2,67173573 Would you mind trying to remember how you fixed this?
