Does not happen in Iron Chrome 15. I suspect the culprit is Avast's 6.0.1367 "transparent proxy" for web-scanning. The "Connection closed by remote server" errors happen usually only when I enter some text into a box, like on YouTube's search box -> http://forums.opera.com/discussion/1873803/problem-of-connection-closed-by-remote-server/p1 ENTER -> "Connection closed by remote server". In fact it happened just a minute ago when I was registering to this forum, too. Anything you can do about this? Thanks. Logged iYogisolutions1 Sr. Member Posts: 285 Great Tech Support. And I told you I don't get the error on Iron Chrome 15. I just enabled "Scan traffic from well know browzer processes only" and will report back with my findings. Advertisement manuleka Thread Starter Joined: Jan 20, 2011 Messages: 49 Platform: Windows XP Professional SP3 Windows Firewall Avast FREE I've notice for sometime now, that Opera (version 12 build 1467) randomly response with this "Error: Connection Closed by Remote Server" when i load a web page... weird thing is, i just click refresh (or his back then click on whatever link i clicked on) and the page load back fine.... This happens quite often... but i never experience this on Chrome... I've been using Opera for the last 5 years or so and this started appearing when i was with Opera 11... This doesn't happen on a particular website... Anyone experience this problem before? manuleka, Jun 24, 2012 #1 TOGG Joined: Apr 2, 2002 Messages: 5,754 I've seen that a few times using Opera 12/1467 with XP Home. It doesn't happen often enough to be a problem and I can't now remember when it first started. If you type that error message into the search box in 'Opera Support' you'll see lots of theories as to a possible cause in the first thread listed (although it is about Opera not working at all!); http://my.opera.com/community/forums/search.dml?term=connection+closed+by+remote+server&id=2 TOGG, Jun 25, 2012 #2 manuleka Thread Starter Joined: Jan 20, 2011 Messages: 49 TOGG said: ↑ I've seen that a few times using Opera 12/1467 with XP Home.
