I'm not sure if I should post this here, or under cooling fans but here it goes. Last July-ish I built a new p.c. It was the first time I did all by myself. The Motherboard is a ASUS M3A78-CM. The cooling fan is the big ultra cooling fan. It get its power directly http://www.pcguide.com/vb/showthread.php?73674-CPU-Cooling-Fan-Error from the power supply because of the bigger 4 wide rectangular connector. But when I assembled it, I was looking at the motherboard book and I noticed that on the top of the motherboard is the small connector for cpu fan. I made a mistake and plugged a connector off of the power supply on to that connector. But it ran fine up until about 3 weeks ago when pc would not power up at all. I thought it was the switches. New case. Not it. New Power Supply. Not it. But after I put in the new power supply, for some reason I unplugged that small connector from the motherboard. An it started right up. P.C. works great but, when I boot it up, before Windows XP loads I get a "CPU Cooling Error. Press F1 to resume setup." I do that and windows loads and it works fine. Cooling fan runs, no prob-lemo. Is there a way to over ride that error in BIOS? Or what do you think I should do?
