of you remember I recently had some problems which resulted in me reformatting my computer. But after I did a reformat i've been cpu fan error press f1 to run setup getting an error when I start up my computer that says: CPU Fan Error! Press F1 to Resume (Heres an image of the error on start up) At first i looked down at my fan and saw

that it continued to spin after this error, so I took no notice of the warning. That was 5 days ago... today i bent down to pick up something and saw that my fan wasn't even moving! I quickly removed the case cover worried that my cpu will overheat.. Can anyone explain why my fan stopped working? Did my reformat erase a driver or something thats needed for the fan? This error message is diplayed when CPU fan RPM is below specified limit. For my motherboard, specified low limit was 600 RMP and CM 212 Plus Cooler fan was running at 500-550RPM. If CPU temperature is ok, then you need not to worry. If you want to turn of this error message, then goto: BIOS -> Monitor -> Fan Speed Monitor Here, you can see all fans connected to your system are being monitored. You now need to select CPU fan. Two options will popup - Monitor and Ignore. Select Ignore. Error message wi
