However, after trying 3 different terminals/emulators I would receive the same error as shown quoted below. I've tried install "automake" from repositories as suggested through other answers found on here/Google with no luck. That would be the c compiler. –arkascha Jun 20 '15 at 7:07 If you have gcc but not cc, check if it will compile successfully with gcc. You can modify Makefile to change cc to gcc. –alvits Jun 20 '15 at 7:33 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 5 down vote accepted sudo apt-get install build-essential should install the requirements for compiling C/C++ based applications share|improve this answer answered Jun 20 '15 at 7:31 Uku Loskit 22.6k25266 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service. One thing I notice is that your CC=/usr/local/bin/gcc, did you install your own version of gcc there? If you are trying to use the pre-installed version you can set CC=gcc, assuming you have it installed. The key error to read is: make: /usr/local/bin/gcc: Command not found meaning make cannot find the executable /usr/local/bin/gcc http://femtobyte.tk/blog Adv Reply Quick Navigat
