To resolve the problem, fix the My Pictures Shell folder paths in the registry accordingly. The default values are given in a tabular column in the following article. There is also a REG fix available in the following page: Reset the Shell Folders paths to defaults Don't forget to inspect the value type. If you're using an expandable string data such as %userprofile%, then the registry value type should be of REG_EXPAND_SZ, not REG_SZ.
