Adobe Error 1324 My Pictures
Latest reply on Apr 8, 2015 11:11 AM by Aliqux Error 1324.The path My Documents or the volume is invalid. Please enter it again. mwolfect May 31, 2011 6:54 AM Hello Adobe!I get adobe acrobat error 1324 that error when trying to install Adobe Reader X, or upgrade/update on Windows 7 Pro workstations. This also happens when I try to update Adobe Standard products that are on our workstations. This is an Active Directory based network, and users have their Documents folder redirected to a network server. Users have full rights over that folder, so using a network location should not be an issue. This is adobe reader error 1327 absolutely ridiculous that this should be a problem.I've seen several solutions, such as repointing the Documents folder to their C drive again and then back, but that is a ludicrous solution. I'm lucky that only a few of our workstations are Win 7 currently and that I have not been made aware of this issue on Windows XP Pro. I couldn't imagine having to touch 250 workstation to fix this problem.Re-redirecting the Documents folder it is NOT a solution it is a bandaid for something broken.Does anyone know of a fix or solution to this problem? I have the same question Show 0 Likes(0) 11019Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 5 replies 1. Re: Error 1324.The path My Documents or the volume is invalid. So i ran the fix it tool from Microsoft and it fixed my second problem. As for the first i found out that i had to change my drive letter back to F because my external hard drive had been turned off and my zip drive switched to F instead of E and it screwed everything up. melowman, Nov 2, 2010 #3 This thread has been Locked and is not open to further replies. I think the issue lies in that Adobe installers do not like Windows file synchronization and redirecting the User's Application Data folder. Has anyone else come across and resolved an issue like this? Cheers. It's fixed in the latest Reader 9.1 patch because we ran into the same issue on our users with redirect folders. The latest Reader software should fix the problem. 0 Jalapeno OP CJC Jul 23, 2009 at 2:42 UTC Charlie1827 wrote: What OS are you trying to install the apps on? WinXP and Vista on my computer, same issue with both. I should also add that I have tried to install and run these as a user that does not use MS File Sync and they work perfectly. 0 Jalapeno OP CJC Jul 23, 2009 at 2:45 UTC New Reader version is good ( I went back to v8 long ago), but I am still up the creek with the Authorware software. We are looking to use some online training courses that are developed with this software. 0 Habanero OP CharlieB Jul 23, 2009 at 2:49 UTC As Mark said, have you downloaded the most recent version and tried it? 0 Jalapeno OP CJC Jul 23, 2009 at 2:57 UTC No I haven't, I expect it will work, but my real issue is not with Adobe Reader..it is with their Authoware software. I need a way to fix that issue with the Authoware software. I only mentioned the Reader because I believe the problem was related. Thanks 0 This discussion has been inactive for over a year.
