I then tried to download and install Reader 11. The install https://answers.acrobatusers.com/Error-1324-How-fix-q98438.aspx got to 67%, the same as before, then stalled and I got the same error message (#1324). I now have no Adobe Reader on my computer. I then downloaded SODA PDF Reader. It works OK but is not as convenient as Reader was. Norman R. Forson Edit Answer (for another 0 minute) I am sorry that this did not work. The discussion here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/463026 suggests that this problem may be caused by the location of your My Documents folder, and if that's the case, you should be able to point this to a local directory, install Reader, and then have it point back to the network location. But How do I point "My Documents" to C? It is now under C:/users/Norman/. Adobe reader was under C:/programs(x86). That folder is now gone. Norman R. I was trying to modify my existing 11.2 version because a team-mate realized we had different DLL versions based on the same install. I can do anything. I even tried installing the latest version of the tools but I get the same message. If I try to uninstall via the Windows control panel I get the same message. I am in a corporate environment and my "My Documents" folder is mapped to a network drive. Any advice? I did not have read permissions to the folder just below "My Documents". I think the networking team here had made some sort of a change recently. Once these permissions were changed it started working correctly. Thanks for your help!
