Windows 7 Pro, Win2003 SBS server domain, My Documents being redirected through a Group Policy Setting. My Documents redirects to \\SERVER\USERS\USERNAME. Error message that My Documents contains an invalid character. Like TS7, if the user logged in was a Domain Admin, this error did not occur. The difference between a Domain Admin and a Domain User? The discussion here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/463026 suggests that this problem may be caused by the location of your My Documents folder, and if that's the case, you should be able to point this to a local directory, install Reader, and then have it point back to the network location. This is usually caused by an invalid character in the User Profile. Fix 1 - Install Under Different Profile See if you can install the software using a different user account. Hold the Windows Key and press "R" to bring up the Run dialog. Type "logoff", then press "Enter". Try to login with a new user (if available). If you don't have another account, you can try to create a new one. Attempt to install the software again.
