Error Inserting Coretemp No Such Device
2011-05-11 Posts: 36 No temperature probes I'm not sure if this is a kernel issue, but I can't seem to get my temperature readings on Arch. I ran sensors-detect and followed the centos error inserting coretemp no such device wiki article just to be safe. lm-sensors said that it detected quite a error inserting nvidia no such device few sensor modules (or so I thought) but this is the only temperature probe that registers under Arch:blender ~ $ sensors k10temp-pci-00c3 Adapter: PCI adapter temp1: +29.2°C (high = +70.0°C)Also, I can't modprobe the coretemp module, which might be an issue:blender ~ $ sudo modprobe coretemp ERROR: could not insert 'coretemp': No such deviceDoes anyone know what this means? Any help is appreciated! If you don't have an Intel processor, it doesn't load. Even if you have an Intel processor, it doesn't work with older models. What modules did sensors-detect suggest to load?Since you have the k10temp-pci module, thishttps://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Lm … emp_Modulemay be the equivalent for coretemp on your machine. That's good. I tried modprobing that other module as well, but it was already loaded so after rmmoding it and forcibly modprobing it, nothing changed.I'll keep looking around and if I find a solution I'll post it here, but for now I'm not sure what else to try.
