with a Winbound w83627ehf chip. When attempting to insert it, I got the following error: Turm ~ # modprobe w83627ehf FATAL: Error inserting w83627ehf (/lib/modules/2.6.36-gentoo-r3/kernel/drivers/hwmon/w83627ehf.ko): Device or resource busy Investigating this further we find that there's a conflicting ACPI driver. To get your sensors back you need to use the asus_atk0110 acpi driver. You need to make sure it's compiled into your kernel and lm_sensors is at least version 3.1.0. Then just issue modprobe asus_atk0110 and everything should work. There is no need to rerun sensors-detect because lm_sensors is no longer involved in loading proper sensor modules. Then you may want to adjust the lm_sensors startup script to load proper modules. On Gentoo look at /etc/conf.d/lm_sensors and change any instance of w83627ehf to asus_atk0110 SysadminAsus, Gentoo, lm_sensors ← MultiWord Gingerbread on my Droid 1 → Comments are closed.

postssince Dec 2006 plus google'd extensively but still I cannot find anyway to get lm-sensors to work on this board, so I'm coming to themailing list or help.I'm running openSUSE 10.2, kernel 2.6.18.2-34-default, x86_64.I have sysfs as recommended for 2.10.2:# rpm -qav *sysfs*sysfsutils-2.1.0-19## sensors --vsensors version 2.10.2 with libsensors version 2.10.2#After a make user, su, make user_install then sensors-detect I get thefollowing:...Driver `w83627ehf' (should be inserted):Detects correctly:* ISA bus address 0x0290 (Busdriver `i2c-isa')Chip `Winbond W83627DHG Super IO Sensors' (confidence: 9)...But when I attempt to modprobe w83627ehf:# modprobe w83627ehfFATAL: Error inserting w83627ehf(/lib/modules/2.6.18.2-34-default/kernel/drivers/hwmon/w83627ehf.ko):No such device#Does this driver really support the DHG chip ? I would have thought afile named 'w83627dhg.ko' would have perhaps come with lm_sensors2.10.2 to copy into the kernel source tree ?Any ideas ? Again apologies if I'm asking a simple question however Ijust can't seem to get it working or find an answer to this problem ..thanks.
