I downloaded the latest driver from http://67.18.1.101/~ckennedy/ivtv/ which was ivtv-0.1.10-pre2-ck108i.tgz and compiled the driver and utils directories by simply doing the standard "make" and "make install", and then things started to work much better for me. Don't forget to uninstall and unload the ivtv stuff first or the "make install" will complain. In fact that was the longest run of the IVTV drivers that I have had yet-- about 1 hour before a lockup. BTW, I am using Fedora Core 2 with kernel 2.6.8-1.521 on a Via/EPIA-M-10000. Previously, I could only run for less than a minute or two. To: All, Also after the dist-upgrade, my remote control LIRC/PVR350 doesn't work anymore. :-( Has anyone else had this happen? If so, any tips on getting that working again???? --Dave > -----Original Message----- > From: atrpms-users-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx [mailto:atrpms-users- > bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of ed > Sent: Thursday, September 09, 2004 9:02 AM > To: atrpms-users@xxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [ATrpms-users] IVTV > > Hello All- > > Here i
3.2 for several months now but just bought a new 750gb hard drive and thought what a great opportunity to upgrade. Tried to upgrade to Mythdora 4 but ran into problems and so stumbled upon Mythbuntu. I really like the look so I have decided to run Mythbuntu if I can get it all working correctly. For whatever reason, I can not get my video to play, all I get is what appears to be scrambled input. It's not a black http://osdir.com/ml/linux.redhat.rpm.atrpms.general/2004-09/msg00029.html screen, not static, no squiggly lines. I hope that makes sense. This is my hardware; ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe mobo Hauppauge pvr-500 capture card Nvidia 6600 video card 1.5gb RAM All this hardware worked fine while I was running MythDora 3.2. I bought a new hard drive but since I've been having problems, I put all the original hardware back together because I know https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-647500.html it works. If I pull my video in from my capture card and plug it directly into my tv, i get cable just as I should, so i know the set top box is providing a good signal. I've been pulling my hair out for 2 days now but I'm still no farther along. I did a normal Mythbuntu install, nothing fancy, nothing unusual. Perhaps it's ivtv drivers? Tried using tvtime but still same problem so my hunch is it's a driver issue. Any help right now would be great. Mythbuntu looks fantastic! Great job on the interface and install scripts, etc. I guess I should also mention that I have my schedule direct account set up and working properly. mythfilldatabase has run and I have data in the database. If I hit the 's' key while in watch tv mode, the schedule listings come up and I can change channels. Thanks, Tim twootenDecember 22nd, 2007, 07:37 PMthe ivtv module does not seem to be loading. Last year, I attempted to install Mythtv and ivtv drivers for my hauppage card, but eventually gave up ... lack of a block of time. Are you set on using Mandrake? Other distro's link Suse or Gentoo have listed pretty good documentation on the internet. error inserting ivtv I noticed Suse 9.1 recognizes hauppage card through gui hardware list, but still need ivtv drivers. Good Luck! P.S. : There's always the quick and dirty method.
