The Servers folder is the one area where we have to depend on the Windows Browse List, and only because Microsoft doesn’t offer us a direct function to pull just a list of servers from the domain. The Domain Controllers and Computers folders come directly from AD. The problem you are having is a browsing issue of some sort, and the first thing to check would be that the Computer Browser service is actually running on your computer. We typically advise (if you can’t find the browsing issue) to either navigate to an OU where you have your servers by going through Containers/OUs, or manually finding them through t

The install and config went fine. Version 10 with HF 30. When I try to create a backup job (Files, SQL, VSS) I get an error A remote API error occured. (Microsoft Windows Network) There are no messages in the event log anywhere. There is nothing in the Asigra knowledgebase. Anyone have any thoughts on this. My guess is there is some role/feature not installed. I looked through the documentation and do not see anything specific that has to be installed. I have installed DS-Client on this server as it hold Exchange 2010 and then I am going to reach out from it to a Windows 2003 Server to backup files and SQL that reside there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Reply With Quote 06-20-2011,08:53 AM #2 Omega Guest Hi Folks, I thought I would update this thread with what happened. I just love these type of fixes. I fried to create the backup set the next day and fortunately (or unfortunately) everything worked. I had opened up a case with Asigra to help figure it out and their suggestion was that it may be a resource issue or an IPv6 issue. In my case IPv6 was disabled and if it was a resource issue then the problem fixed itself over night and the server was not rebooted. So no real answer on this one.
