I installed it on a brand new PC tried to open an excel file which uses VBA and i get this error message: An error occurred initializing the VBA libraries (1004) then it asks me if i want to repair the install since a component is missing. If i say yes, it does repair it

and then i can use my file, but right after i close it, i get the same message if i open it again. If i say no i get this message: An error occurred initializing the VBA libraries (1004) The thing i think is that VBA isn't correclty installed (wierd since it's a brand new install thgouh .....) and even though i repair it doesn't keep it. The other point i can mention is that, if i accept the repair then when closing XL i get an error telling me "an error occured blablabla" with a checkbox to restart it. the basic error message. I don't get it if i don't repair. Any hints ? My office has recently moved to Windows 7 along with Office 2013 - with the except of Access which has stayed as 2003. When I load an old project, the reference is automatically updated to "Microsoft Excel 15.0 Object Library" - it is held as an EXE file in Program Files (x86). Note: it does not say the reference is missing. I got 3 of the messages but got it down to one by removing add ins via the tools thingy. Removing the analysis toolback got rid of the last one - but i need that! well i have two win 7 laptops with excel 2002 on, so if anyone knows the files ( and maybe where to find them!!!) i could copy and paste the files to cure the problem i tried replacing the library file - to no avail thanks all PS tools- macro- visual basic editor is greyed out. tried using the ms disc to reinstall it. selecting from the install when first started option. no luck yet Last edited by anon125; Sep 14th, 2010 at 12:58 PM. If you get asked if you want to replace a DLL because a newer one already exists, choose
