"An error occurred while accessing the DHCP database. The machine for which I had been adding the reservation had an old reservation that had been removed. I suspected that the

removal was not clean and that there were remnants preventing me from adding a new reservation. To confirm this I used netsh for DHCP: Logged into the DC and opened a command prompt with elevated privileges: Typed the following commands: netsh netsh> dhcp netsh dhcp> server netsh dhcp server> scope 10.20.30.0 Changed the current scope an error occurred while accessing wii system memory context to 10.20.30.0 scope. netsh dhcp server scope> show reservedip This lists all the reserved ips for the scope. Found the origianl reservation for the pc that had supposedly been removed. This reservation was not showing in the GUI version but was preventing a new reservation for this mac address being added. netsh dhcp server scope> delete reservedip 10.20.30.xx e2e3b6121f58 Command completed successfully After this I was able to add a new reservation via the DHCP console and there were no errors.
