there really aren't any that match): /Group[(JobNumber = '212022') and (starts-with(AccountName, 'dir'))] that same filter when used with the EnumerateResourcesActivity yields me the "An error occurred while enumerating the filter" error. I am setting the xpath property, and the actorID on the activity is the user that triggers an internal error occurred while enumerating backup sets the workflow (which for right now is the FIM Service account, which has full rights). The JobNumber attribute was bound to the Group object, and filter permissions have been set. I also have a child activity attached to the EnumerateResourcesActivity to iterate the results. So I thought this might be happening because the result set wasempty, so I also tried this xpath: /Group[(JobNumber = '212022')] which does return an object when used in a set, but I still get the same error using it in the EnumerateResourcesActivity. The script checks if the view already exists and then it checks if the new view has been set to the default view, if the new view is the default, it amends the default back to the first ([0]) view in the views array. I am http://sharepoint.stackexchange.com/questions/47672/powershell-an-error-occurred-while-enumerating-through-a-collection receiving the "enumerating through a collection" error as I understand you cant edit the current collection, I am quite new to powershell and having looked at answers I dont fully understand how I can amend the code to prevent this error, can anyone help please? The error occurs when it tries to update the defaultview within the defaultViewCheck function: function defaultViewCheck { Param ($dvweb, $dvlist) #Check SSIS Package default $newList = $dvweb.Lists.item($dvlist.ID) $viewCheck = $newList.Views["SSIS Package View - Do not Touch"] if ($viewCheck.DefaultView = $true) { write-host $viewCheck "is set to default" # set value 0 in the list array to the default view $defaultView = $dvlist.Views[0] ## Set the default View $view = $newList.Views[$defaultView] $view.DefaultView = $true $view.Update() write-host $defaultView "Set to default view" -foregroundcolor "blue" Return } else { write-host "Set Default - No action required" -foregroundcolor "yellow" Return } } $siteURL = "[URL]" $strViewName = "SSIS Package View - Do not Touch" $ListNames = @("Change Requests", "Issues", "Risks", "Actions", "Status Summary", "Benefits", "Lessons Learned") # create a new SPsite object and recursively go through all webs $site = new-object Microsoft.SharePoint.SPSite($siteURL) foreach ($web in $site.AllWebs) { foreach ($list in $web.Lists) { if ($ListNames -match $list.Title) { # Check if view already exists if ($list.views -match $strViewName) { write-host $web -foregroundcolor "blue" write-host $list.Ti

After upgrading to Server 2012 Domain Controller 8 error occurred while answers Background: I've been using UserPrincipal.GetAuthorizationGroups for a while now to check permissions in 2 different applications. They have been working fine for several years. Recently some users have been getting the error mentioned in the title (System.DirectoryServices.AccountManagement.PrincipalOperationException) while others have not. I have a suspicion that it might be related to a new domain controller that was added running on Windows Server 2012 because the problems started the day after it was added.
