The shared drives are mapped via Group Policy Preferences.The issue is not limited to that computer. I have already triedthishotfix linked inthisquestion, but it did not help. I've since uninstalled it. I've turned on the Reconnect option on the GPP (had it off because I thought it wouldn't matter since GP gets applied frequently). No change. The problem computer already has NIC power saving turned off from a previous issue. When this happens, all open connections will be severed. In order to get them back, you must refresh the connection. I don't know if there is a fix for this or not... I've never found one. windows 7 share folder. This setup was working fine until few weeks ago. But an error occurred while reconnecting the username could not be found there are no problems for windows 7 client computers to remap network share folders automatically. If you have the network drives persistently mapped, then the problem could be that you need to disconnect the drives before you connect them. There are different ways of doing this depending on how you're mapping the drives... The computer is connected to a domain and the computer gets the same results if someone else logs on with a different user name.
