I'm creating an array of Waypoint objects from lat/long data that I have stored in a database, and sending that to the CalculateRoute method of the webservice in order to get a route back, but I am unable to successfully get an error occurred while processing the request on the server a route back. The response always contains the error "An error occurred while processing the request." I'm stumped. Any ideas about how I could solve this or at least get a more helpful error/exception out of the service? Here's the method that calls the service: public void CalculateRoute(Waypoint[] waypoints) { request = new RouteRequest(); request.Waypoints = new ObservableCollection

I actually haven't tested on 4.5.2 but I can run a few tests to try and see if that's the problem. -Chris Copy Link Please Sign in or register to post replies Write your reply to: Choose version Umbraco v7 Umbraco v6 Umbraco v4 Bugs Editor Preview Preview Draft Upload image Image will be uploaded when post is submitted Our.umbraco.org is the community mothership for Umbraco, the open source asp.net cms. the Community Maps Program By Maria Lomoro, Esri Product Marketing Detailed street data for Hong Kong. Does your organization own detailed street http://www.esri.com/news/arcwatch/0710/community-maps.html map data, high-resolution imagery, or building footprints that can be shared http://blog.aggregatedintelligence.com/2008/12/pagerequestmanagerservererrorexception.html with others? The popular Community Maps Program, a new Esri initiative, lets organizations contribute their geographic data, including imagery, to ArcGIS online basemaps that are then shared with the GIS user community. Anyone can access the community maps at ArcGIS.com and use them for GIS error occurred projects, including Web applications and mashups. These maps can also be accessed through ArcGIS for iOS, ArcPad 10, ArcGIS Desktop 10, and Esri's free and open Web mapping APIs. User organizations that contribute geographic data to the Community Maps program will reap several benefits. The costs associated with distributing their own data and making it widely available error occurred while will be eliminated. The program also decreases the costs associated with setting up and maintaining data by reducing labor costs and need for server capacity. Most importantly, the program provides a mechanism for organizations to make their high-quality, authoritative content available globally in a manner that gives others the ability to access it easily. Esri publishes and hosts the community maps to give GIS users the best available data from multiple governmental and commercial data sources. The goal is to continually improve these community maps with more detailed data. The global online basemaps are built using uniform cartography and authoritative data sources and provide the high level of detail and coverage needed for most GIS Web mapping projects. "These fast maps with Esri data and authoritative user-generated content [UGC] reduce the cost of making data widely available and offer a reliable way to access critical information when emergencies or disasters strike," says Jack Dangermond, Esri president. occurred while processing the request on the server. The status code returned from the server was: 401", is due to a permissions issue. One can determine that by checking on the 401 error code. In my case it was because a method on one of my web pages needed to have write access to folder where it created temporary images. Without the permission the browser would throw this generic error message. If you ran the page on a browser on the actual server, you would get the actual error message - which in my case clearly pointed to the fact that I did not have write access to the folder I was trying to write the images to. Once the User account was given write access to that folder, the problem went away!
