This box is quite a recent build, and this is the first SMART report I've run on it.I've coloured the section I'm concerned about in maroon. Can someone set my mind at ease, or suggest what action I should take? The disk is only about 6 months old, so within warranty. Many thanks.root@UNRAID-03:/dev# smartctl -a /dev/sdbsmartctl 5.40 2010-10-16 r3189 [i486-slackware-linux-gnu] (local build)Copyright disk error occurred (C) 2002-10 by Bruce Allen, http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net=== START OF INFORMATION SECTION ===Device Model: ST4000DM000-1F2168Serial Number: W300AM7SFirmware Version: CC52User Capacity: 4,000,787,030,016 bytesDevice is: Not in smartctl database [for details use: -P showall]ATA Version is: 8ATA Standard is: ATA-8-ACS revision 4Local Time is: Fri Nov 29 11:43:35 2013 PSTSMART support is: Available - device has SMART capability.SMART support is: Enabled=== START OF READ SMART DATA SECTION ===SMART overall-health self-assessment test result: PASSEDGeneral SMART Values:Offline data collection status: (0x00) Offline data collection activity was never started. My Hard Drive crashed a few weeks ago, so I put in a new hard drive and the old bad one wasn't even getting recognized on my computer. Almost like it wasn't even there. Anyways, I don't know what I was thinking, but I left the bad one plugged in and everything. Fast forward to today, I turned my computer on and it booted from the old hard drive. It still gives the "Hard drive going bad" error, but I was wondering if there was anyway to fix it. I read somewhere that I needed the Smartctl Output from GSmartControl, so here it is!: smartctl 5.43 2012-06-30 r3573 [i686-w64-mingw32-win7(64)-sp1] (sf-5.43-1) Copyright (C) 2002-12 by Bruce Allen, http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net === START OF INFORMATION SECTION === Model Family: Western Digital AV SATA Device Model: WDC WD3200AVJS-63WDA0 Serial Number: WD-WCARW5233997 LU WWN Device Id: 5 0014ee 1563e642a Firmware Versi
