We were attempting to inject a Google analytics tracking javascript in the body of all responses. The code never did show up successfully and this error message resulted as well. We eventually discovered a web solution out on Codeplex that allows you to add the Google analytics tracking script. After a very long and painful headache we were able to find out what was causing this malfunction. It was a .net agent from New Relic. This agent is used to analyse traffic, page load time and some other cool things. It basicly add some javascript to the head session of every response our IIS make and this code send some data to New Relic servers that will be processed to build some reports about the applications running in the IIS. In the end, I just disabled it and SPD turned back to life. Thanks. PS: Boland was in the right path. I were able to find out the solution using Fiddler to analyse the responses from IIS. Thanks. share|improve this answer answered Aug 26 '14 at 13:18 Andre Morata 396 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote You have to check the event log. Do you see any error there? If not, it must be a network issue. Firewall is rare, because SPD works on TCP/80. share|improve this answer answered Aug 24 '14 at 8:26 Boland 315215 I have checked everything in Event Viewer logs and in the ULS. Nothing there. am trying to save web pages in microsoft front page. I have both 2002 and 2003 versions and in the 7 years I have been working with front page have never encountered the following problem. When I try to open or save a page, I get the following error: "An error occurred accessing your windows sharepoint services files" or "An error occurred accessing your Frontpage web files. Authors-if authoring against a web server, please contact the webmaster for this server's site. Webmasters-please see the server's system log for more details." I do not have windows sharepoint services on either my new or old desktop. Since the files are also on an external hard drive, I have tried opening and saving on the same computer and had the same message happen. I do not handle my own hosting.....I pay a company to host...but the problem is happening in Front page, both versions. Any ideas about what could cause this and how to fix the problem?
