I have a Labview VI for this which uses Traditional NIDAQ. When I run it I get the following error message,Error -10401 occurred at AI Group Config -|NI-DAQ LV: The specified device is not a National Instruments product, the driver does not support the device.......I have ver 4.5 of the NI measurement and explorer and I am able to run panel self-test. I have also been able to successfully run the hardware with NIDAQmx and Matlab. Although, when I use the traditional NIDAQ driver in MATLAB the system hangs very often. In order to switch drivers, see this. 1 Kudo Message 2 of 3 (4,710 Views) Reply 1 Kudo Re: Error -10401 occurred at AI Group Config - hudz Member 09-11-2008 10:05 AM Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to RSS Feed Highlight Print Email to a Friend Report to a Moderator I am completely new to Labview and am using someone else's Vi which they have successfully used before but with an older version of MAX. I have tried resetting the drivers and still get the same error. I also reinstalled the hardware. 0 Kudos Message 3 of 3 (4,704 Views) Reply 0 Kudos All Forum Topics Previous Topic Next Topic P

NI-DAQmx replaced Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) in 2003. NI strongly recommends using NI-DAQmx for new designs and migrating existing Traditional NI-DAQ (Legacy) applications to http://forums.ni.com/t5/Academic-Hardware-Products-ELVIS/Error-10401-occurred-at-AI-Group-Config/td-p/775558 NI-DAQmx. Solution: The SCXI-1100 example is meant for use with only the SCXI-1100. The example attempts to scan the calgnd channel which does not exist on the SCXI-1102 module. You should use the SCXI-1102 thermocouple example which was explicitly made for the SCXI-1102. It states: "To use the DAQmx Create Virtual Channel.vi, your chassis needs to be verified under NI-DAQmx error occurred ai Devices, not Traditional NI-DAQ Devices, in MAX. Once you have confirmed thatthe chassis is present and configured under NI-DAQmx, the physical channelsinput should self-populate with a list of available channels. Check thefiltering of the names if the physical channel string you are usingdoes not show up."So make sure that your chassis is identified by right-clicking on PXI System under Devices & Interfaces and try again, and let us know whether it works.Have a great day!
