An Error Occurred When Attempting To Write Data To Handle Error 5
Fri, 29/11/2013 - 10:29 All, Having issues using Win32DiskImager. I have downloaded the image file, unzipped it an error occurred when attempting to write data to handle error 23 ready to write. I have downloaded Win32DiskImager and unzipped it, and run it as administrator. But I when I try to write the file it gets to an error occurred when attempting to write data to handle error 1117 around 10% then gives me the error message below, any ideas? reader is the problem. I was using an Integral USB adapter like the one below. I've bought a new one (memory2go multi-card reader) which works fine. In case anyone searches the forums for the Win32DiskImager error code here it is; "An error occurred when attempting to write data to handle. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified." NOTE: You will need your Windows 7 DVD or a USB with the recovery console installed. IF USING A USB STICK MAKE SURE IT IS PLUGGED INTO A USB 2 SLOT, USB 3 IS NOT SUPPORTED; It will error with ‘failure when attempting to copy boot file'. After rebooting your computer you receive the following error: Windows Boot Manager Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
