An Error Occurred Attempting To Install
Importance: High Windows Version: 7(64bit) Updated: 2016-09-10 Created: 2013-11-04 Creator: cos marchy Private: No I cannot get Disk Imager to read from an an error occurred attempting to install sql server 2008 express edition micro SD card. I get the following error: Lock Error: An error occurred when attempting to lock the volume. Error 5: Access is denied. There are no programs using the micro SD card and no windows open which https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4949 I believe are using the img file. I have tried rebooting the computer and the SD card adaptor is unlocked. I have also tried several card readers and different cards both SD and micro SD. Discussion Tobin Davis - 2013-11-07 Could you provide a little more information? This sounds like you don't have admin priviledges or something. I have tried several SD cards of various flavours, changed the lock position just in case. I have tried internal and external card readers. I have no easy way to reproduce this issue (it works on my test systems). I discovered another reader in a box and tried out of desperation - it worked. There were no problems reading the SD card. It seems after four card readers only one seems to work!! Not sure what it is about them which stops them working though??? Hope this helps. :) Simon Gordon (linux-sgordon) wrote on 2009-08-25: #2 Hm, I think that counts as a workaround and hence this issue is still a bug. Just to add to this, for my attempt the image was in a folder which had spaces and brackets in the path. This, with k20z1's comment (his fix meant the filename had no dashes '-' in) implies that the tool does not handle filenames with certain characters?
