The fix for me was found in Vackups answer to this Stack Overflow question In short, the fix for me was this: "So, running the site with Ctl+F5 installed the certificate and then I was able to debug the site solving my issue." I did find the initial SDK installed so I removed it and repaired the setup from “DotNetCore.1.0.0-VS2015Tools.Preview2.exe”. Any way to diagnose this problem?
