File Activity Incomplete Dreamweaver
error occurred - cannot put [file name.htm]. Dreamweaver encountered an internal data error jmt111 Jul 5, 2012 6:57 AM I get the message “Server not responding" whenever trying to add files to my web site via DW. The following message appears: "An FTP error occurred - cannot put [file name.htm]. Dreamweaver encountered an internal data error. Please try dreamweaver file upload form the operation again." I called the hosting service provider, and they said they were able to upload a 20 mb document with no problem. I was also able to upload a document using Filezilla. Therefore, the problem must be with DW.When I go to Manage Sites and choose my site and get to the Test Connection button, the test is successful, which further confuses the issue. That error message is not from FileZilla, FileZilla won't ever use the word ''put''.Whatever you use, that 550 Permission denied message comes from the server, which forcefully denies you the right to write to that file/location. From the research online that I've done, and the interactions with other customers with this FTP error, and other common FTP errors, I'm guessing that more than likely you have one of the following problems preventing you from publishing your DreamWeaver website to the server successfully: The FTP host needs to be properly set to your domain name, or you can find your server name in cPanel to use. The DreamWeav
