Unfortunately, I can't seem to overcome the following issue:I have set up user accounts, groups, etc., and all is well in terms of uploading data to the FTP http://guysimplify.com/ftp-error-copying-file-or-folder/ server. However, I consistently receive the error, "An error occurred when copying the file. The operation timed out." when attempting to download files (>20 Mb or so) from the FTP server. Also, the error message consistently pops up after the download is near completion (about 5 seconds away from completing the download). I have ensured that the folders I am downloading from have "Read" attributes within the settings console, https://forum.filezilla-project.org/viewtopic.php?t=6552 checked and double-checked all of the other settings, and to the best of my knowledge (even though I am somewhat of a new user), I do not see anything that would cause this issue or how to resolve it. Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated. If you need any additional information, please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks in advance for any advice!Chad Top Profile Reply with quote botg Post subject: Re: Error Copying File or FolderPostPosted: 2008-04-30 19:27 Offline Site Admin Joined: 2004-02-23 20:49 Posts: 28510 First name: Tim Last name: Kosse Disable all firewalls and bypass your router, plug your computer directly into the modem. I then took your advice, disabled the firewall altogether, and everything works as advertised. Thanks again for the insight/guidance!Chad Top Profile Reply with quote Display posts from previous
